Five advisors from luxury real estate firm join top half of one percent of more than 1.1 million REALTORS® nationwide

The restaurant that once “boogified” the Aspen core real estate landscape and served affordable dining to locals as well as celebrities such as Bill Clinton and Donald Trump has now closed its doors for good.  Leonard “Boogie” Weinglass, owner of the Merry-Go-Round clothing retailer opened Boogies restaurant in 1987.  Opening during the end of the Reagan era, Boogie’s Restaurant featured a 1950s-style diner complete with a clothing and memorabilia store on the main floor, along with a handful of complaints. Several Aspen locals disapproved of the atrium that towers the corner and felt as if the “boogification” had gone too far.  In 2012, Weinglass handed Boogie’s over to new ownership and in May 2015, he handed over the keys to the building as well.

From parking lot to luxury penthouse, the Muse Building exemplifies the economic vitality that downtown Aspen real estate has to offer.  The luxury penthouse of the Muse Building features a rooftop deck and pool, topping off the Class A commercial space offered on the first two levels.  Surprisingly, in a Cinderella story twist, this luxury penthouse was once a vacant parking lot. Three new developments are in the works for Lift 1A at the base of Aspen Mountain:

THE SKI CO PARCELS:  Friday, June 5, 2015, co-applicants Roch Partners and Aspen Ski Company met with city of Aspen planning officials for a pre-application conference for development of a 27,000 sf parcel as a lodge, welcome center and a connection both up the ski mountain and down to pedestrian traffic in town.  This parcel is currently home to the Lift 1A terminal and an adjacent parking lot.  Redevelopment of this parcel includes a new high speed ski lift and a solution to the ongoing threats of the International Skiing Federation (FIS) to stop coming to Aspen for the World Cup unless the Lift 1A area is developed and upgraded.
