Picture this, your market is hot and two of your neighbor’s homes recently sold for record prices. You want to downsize and have been tossing around the idea of selling too. What’s the first thing you do? You interview agents for the true task at hand; getting it sold so you can move on. I get it…really I do. Although, what happens next is the critical component that could cost you a pretty penny. You get sticker shock! You know, you choose that agent that puts a premium price on your home! FACT: Price your home accurately from the start. This will avoid your home sitting on the market and becoming stale which insights doubt in the buyer’s mind. They wonder what’s wrong with your home.

FACT: Over pricing leads to a lower selling price in the end. Would you trust the over-priced seller? Would you put in an offer? My intuition says NO! It’s like a grimy used car salesperson trying to squeeze every dollar out of you. It’s insulting!
