At the meeting of the commercial licence partners from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Czech Republic on 3 May in Frankfurt, Ina Schlüter, who is on the management board of the Engel & Völkers Charity e.V., presented the current status of the primary school project. The next step is the construction of a dedicated refectory building. Work has already begun on this project. In order to ensure that the refectory can be completed, Kai Enders ended the speech by asking for support from the licence partners, as the costs of the build run to 33,000 euros.
The licence partners took a spontaneous decision to amass the entire sum. No sooner said than done. “Barely five minutes later the partners had donated the incredible sum of 35,000 euros. It was fantastic! Many thanks to everyone concerned”, said a delighted Kai Enders. This generous donation means that the construction costs are now fully covered. Dirk Beller, Head of Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Czech Republic at Engel & Völkers Commercial GmbH, and Kai Enders rounded up the amount on behalf of the employees at the company headquarters to 40,000 euros. The additional 7,000 euros in donations will provide for future measures.
