Healthy Dining in Santa Monica

Looking for a local restaurant that won't break your healthy New Year's resolutions? Santa Monica features plenty of restaurants that offer healthy dishes, but these five restaurants go above and beyond to serve food that is both delicious and health friendly. Eating out does not have to be full of fat and calories. You can indulge at one of these eateries and still feel good about yourself in the morning.

Capo

Modern Italian restaurant Capo features homemade pastas, fresh seafood, and fireplace-grilled meats. In addition to traditional Italian fare, the restaurant boasts many vegetarian offerings -- including a vegetable tasting menu upon request.

Kye's

The word KYE means different things in different languages. In Maori, it means food; in Chinese, it means to champion; and in Japanese, it means ocean. Kye's in Santa Monica seeks to embody all these things through their high quality, healthy food. The owners are consciously working to evolve the food supply and food sensitivity issues that we are facing today.

Satdha Plant-based Thai Kitchen

Head to Satdha for inventive vegetarian takes on traditional Thai dishes. Wash your delicious Thai food down with a beer or a glass of natural, organic wine.

Tiato

Owner Catherine An's menu features items that honor her mother’s cooking philosophy: One should eat what tastes good and is healthy.  Tiato's menu features sophisticated, global tastes, rich in antioxidants and organic, immune-boosting ingredients.

Urth Santa Monica

Urth Caffe's multiple locations around LA serve delicious organic coffee, as well as sandwiches and salads and other light meals. The patio at the Santa Monica location is a perfect place to catch up with a friend over coffee on a warm California afternoon.
