Scheduled activities include the highly popular HOOK KIDS ON FISHING program for kids 6 to 16 with a parent. Co-sponsored by Anglers for Conservation, this event teaches techniques and tips for young anglers plus provides equipment to continue their new hobby with their families. The class is open to the first 50 students who sign up. At 12:30 pm, you can also sign up to go wading in the sea grasses of the Indian River Lagoon.
Using nets and seine, catch, observe and release small marine creatures that call the estuary home. Recommended for ages 4 and up, this get wet activity is both fun and educational! A variety of other activities will be ongoing all day, so come out and enjoy one of Florida’s special wild places. Reservations required for the fishing clinic and wading program only.
