Intern Update: Intern Bio

Tuesday, October 31st, 2017 at 3:53pm Engel & Völkers Hilton Head Island - Bluffton and Beaufort

I am Crystal Bridges, a Texas born, self-proclaimed Savannah native. In December 2017, I’ll be receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications, with a Public Relations concentration from Savannah State University. One of my passions is communicating relevant messages to audiences that need to receive them. My passion for communications is what led me to apply for this excellently unique internship at Engel & Völkers Hilton Head Island - Bluffton.

It is very exciting to intern for such a very well organized and innovative company as Engel & Völkers. So far in this internship, I have been learning as much as I can about marketing for this prestigious global company and building meaningful and helpful connections. Similar to many of my peers, I thoroughly enjoy social media. However, my fascination is with how people respond to the messages they see online. One thing I enjoy is creating content that people react to on social media and in the real world. Over the past 2 years I have created social media initiatives for myself and for other people, organizations and entities. In the future, if social media continues to hold its ground as a major media platform, I see myself as a social media consultant with my own consulting firm. If people migrate away from social media, which I’m prepared for, my consulting firm will focus on whatever the major media force there is to come.

When I’m not in the Engel & Völkers shop learning all there is to know about marketing luxury real estate, I can be found expanding my patience by practicing yoga or volunteering with Student Leadership Program by Gulfstream of Savannah, GA. I also enjoy journaling and working on my personal blog, where I write about topics that challenge me to evaluate and reevaluate the way I think about and handle my life.

This internship is an amazing opportunity and I am excited to take on the future with the skills and knowledge that come from this experience.
