Can you believe the winter we just had? (Though it was our first season working together as Team TruNorth, we can’t take credit for all the snow!) Whether you are a skier, snowboarder, nordic skier, or snowmobiler, 2016-17 has certainly been a winter for the books! If you have any favorite photos that highlight what a great winter it was, send them to us - we love to see our clients and friends making the most of Sun Valley.
The Sun Valley Real Estate Market is off to a blazing start in 2017, posting numbers not seen since before the recession. While there are always many variables at work in our market, we feel confident in saying that after a very slow but steady recovery, the Sun Valley Real Estate Market has finally turned the corner and is gathering steam. The overall market is up almost 50% in sold volume from $64M to $92M! The prevailing sense in the real estate community is that the window for finding good value in the Sun Valley area is quickly closing. For the last few years, this market was truly undervalued, but inventory has been shrinking as of late. Buyers are well advised to act now before prices take another leap upward.
Most locals, including us, like to keep spring - otherwise known as “slack season” - to ourselves. But there are still many events to keep us entertained. The real upshot is that the crowds have thinned and it’s time for some local appreciation. Here is a look at a few spring/early summer events that we have marked on our calendar - perhaps you will too!
April 21-23rd Year-end Baldy Bash, Warm Springs Base
May 6th Sun Valley Ballet Spring Showcase
May 23-26th Mountain Goddess Yoga Retreat, Sun Valley
May 26-29th Annual Sun Valley Wellness Festival
June 2-4th Run Sun Valley (Half Marathon on the 4th)
June 17th Sun Valley Brewfest, Sun Valley
And perhaps even more important—if you’re like us, you’ll be watching out for the best places to take your dogs as the weather warms and the snow melts. Here are our favorite places to take Boomer and Shep and you can always email us for any “pupdates” about trail access.
Malea’s favorite dog trail: White Cloud Trails, directly across from the Sun Valley Lodge.
Stacey’s favorite dog trail: The Greenhorn Loop, south of Ketchum.
We hope to see you out there, making the most of Sun Valley. Please call us with any questions about the market, selling, buying, or anything else that has to do with the area. Check out our blog for more property updates and “pupdates.”
